Agatha Christie’s THE MYSTERIOUS AFFAIR AT STYLES by Kate Danley

Mystery directed by Linda Paulsen

Tech:  11/12-11/17

Run:  11/18-12/18

NEEDED:  SET DESIGNER

** World Premiere ** This faithful, new adaptation of Agatha Christie's novel THE MYSTERIOUS AFFAIR AT STYLES introduces audiences to the first mystery of Hercule Poirot. The year is 1916 and, injured in WWI, Hastings finds himself convalescing at the manor of his old friend, John Cavendish. But when John's mother is poisoned in the middle of the night, everyone becomes a suspect. The only person who can solve the crime is none other than the famed Belgium detective, Hercule Poirot. Agatha Christie's gifts of misdirection are on full display as red herrings, twists, and turns lead the audience on a dizzying journey to find out whodunnit.  [7m, 5f (with doubling)]

EURYDICE by Sarah Ruhl

Dramatic Comedy directed by David Hanzal

Tech:  3/4-3/9

Run:  3/10-4/2

NEEDED:  SET, COSTUME, AND LIGHT DESIGNERS

In Eurydice, Sarah Ruhl reimagines the classic myth of Orpheus through the eyes of its heroine. Dying too young on her wedding day, Eurydice must journey to the underworld, where she reunites with her father and struggles to remember her lost love. With contemporary characters, ingenious plot twists, and breathtaking visual effects, the play is a fresh look at a timeless love story.  [1f, 3m, 3 either (expandable chorus)]

TRUE WEST by Sam Shepherd

Dark Comedy directed by Duck Washington

Tech:  4/15-4/20

Run:  4/21-5/14

NEEDED:  SET, LIGHTS, AND SOUND DESIGNERS

This American classic explores alternatives that might spring from the demented terrain of the California landscape. Sons of a desert-dwelling alcoholic and a suburban wanderer clash over a film script. Austin, the achiever, is working on a script he has sold to producer Sal Kimmer when Lee, a demented petty thief, drops in. He pitches his own idea for a movie to Kimmer, who then wants Austin to junk his bleak, modern love story and write Lee's trashy Western tale.  (1f, 3m)
