We are seeking 4 actors for the premiere of a dark comedy about a young refugee woman, Annaliese, who, after years abandoned in isolation in a defunct lunar colony, is brought to Earth, where she's housed in the jellyfish room of the Georgia Aquarium. Her story stuns the world, and she's touted as a flicker of hope for the previously disgraced space program. The scientist assigned to her case sees beyond her story - but, as their bond strengthens and lines between the personal and the professional fade away, all involved will be forced to make impossible decisions between integrity, career advancement, human progress, and love.
The roles available are:
MINA: She/Her. Latino. Early 30's. Capricorn. The lead scientist heading Annaliese's case. If she
opened her mouth wide enough while daring to own all of her desires at once, she could devour the universe.
CALVIN: He/Him. Any race. 40's-50's. Leo. Mina's boss, representative of government and corporate interests. Would never admit it, but really wanted to be a rock star. He plays the bass. Get him drunk enough and he'll tell you about it.
CHARLIE: He/They. Any race. 17. Libra. An intern at the aquarium, passionate about his animals. Doesn't necessarily have freckles, but possesses a sort of "befreckled" essence, you know? Like, they're a kid you always assume has freckles, but when you meet him again after, like, summer break, and they aren't there, it sort of takes you off guard.
REPORTER: She/Her. Any race. 30's. Aries. Every time she's on the television, she thinks about her six year old niece. She likes to imagine her morning news show is on while she gets ready for kindergarten. (In her heart of hearts, she knows she's really watching Bubble Guppies.)
