February Auditions for 3 shows: The Secret Garden, Mansfield Park and The Odyssey.
This February, the Northfield Arts Guild Theater is hosting auditions for all remaining shows in our Journey Home Theater Season. Know your role and schedule before planning your spring or summer vacation!
THE SECRET GARDEN: an enchanting classic
Book and lyrics by Marsha Norman, music by Lucy Simon, based on the novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett is directed by Lolly Foy, with musical direction by Kristin Kivell. Rehearsals begin February 10 and are typically Monday through Thursday evenings. Performances are weekends: April 12-28.
The Secret Garden Audition Dates, Times and Locations:
Sunday, February 3, 12:30 – 3:30pm at Northfield Arts Guild, 304 Division Street S., Northfield
Monday, February 4, 6:30-9:00pm at Bethel Lutheran Church, 1321 North Ave, Northfield
The Secret Garden Audition Requirements: Prepare a 1-minute ballad (unaccompanied) AND a 1-minute monologue. Auditions will include a brief and simple movement segment. MANSFIELD PARK: an intriguing and crisp moral satire
by Tim Luscombe (a new adaptation of Jane Austen’s novel) is directed by Rachel Haider. Rehearsals begin in early May. Performances are: June 21-23, 27-29.
THE ODYSSEY: The journey home told through a vivid imagination.
by Mary Zimmerman (a new adaptation of Homer’s myth) is directed by Marc Robinson. Rehearsals begin the second week of June. Performances are weekends: August 2 - 11.
Combined Auditions for Mansfield Park and The Odyssey Audition Dates, Times and Locations: Monday and Tuesday, February 25 and 26, 6:00 – 8:00pm at the Guild Theater, 411 Third Street W., Northfield.
Combined Audition Requirements: Prepare a 1 minute monologue. Be prepared to move and to potentially read from the scripts. Seeking adults and teens. Register for an audition time-slot at https://northfieldartsguild.org/theater/auditions/
