Guthrie seeks non-union actors of color (ages 8-12) for boy's roles in BAD NEWS, directed by legendary director JoAnne Akalaitis. (Must be 12 years old through 3rd June 2018). Big commitment 29th May through 3rd June at the Guthrie. Actors of color of all races and ethnicities encouraged to audition.
BAD NEWS is a collection of messenger monologues from Greek plays. This production will travel around the building in the lobbies and the studio space. You’ll be costumed and will help create the world of BAD NEWS. You will also be asked to sing in a group and communicate through gestures and perhaps words.
