Contract position for duration of project
PAID: 4 Community Theatre is Hiring a Stage Director for our summer musical: Anne of Green Gables, The Musical (Campbell, Harron, Montgomery)
Show Dates: July 24, 25, 26, 31, August 1, 2, 2020
Auditions to be held late April, early May, 2020 (Flexible to change, per directors request.)
Full Cast Rehearsals to begin: Mid-May 2020.
Required Education :
Bachelor's degree and/or extensive experience in the field.

Theatre directors working with 4 Community Theatre are expected to hold auditions to select cast members. They must collaborate with the technical crew which consists of lighting, sound, set, costumers, and a producer. The director is also expected to communicate with the board of directors, and follow a prescribed schedule and budget.
The director is also expected to fully block the play, working with the set and other designers to create the visual and technical elements that will work with both their vision and stage design. The director must be able to work well with a choreographer, and collaborate sharing to establish their vision cohesively with the the choreography. The directors are also expected to lead rehearsals, collaborating creatively with actors and technical crew. Must work well with all ages of participants in a community theatre setting.
The director must also nurture the actors' process of creating character, motivation, and relationships. As a community theatre we strive to build meaningful relationships that translate both on and off stage, working to build a positive environment for families and those who love theatre.
Directors will be compensated per experience.
