Hiring Performance Artists for the Holiday Season

*** We are looking for a few more joyful, extroverted, supportive, and FUN people to join our troupe for hosting/co-hosting live, in-person events in the Twin Cities Metro Area. Choose to host weekly, monthly, or just during the busy holiday party season.***

We create the content. You supply the merriment.

We host live game shows, comedic trivia events, improv, and other interactive entertainment for groups of 20 to 2000+ people. We are based in Minneapolis/St. Paul, but also travel throughout the Midwest (and beyond) for corporate events, fundraisers, and a few weddings here and there. We are WBE certified and were a Super Bowl 52 preferred entertainment vendor. Our clients include US Bank, General Mills, Allina, 3M, Trader Joe’s, and more. Check out our Google reviews. They're pretty great.

We are looking for people with at least some experience on mic, on stage, or hosting live events. (Amateur experience is A-Ok with us!)

Our troupe is currently comprised of mostly women, but all genders are encouraged to apply. BIPOC and the multilingual are especially encouraged to apply, as well as anyone with significant teaching experience. (Teaching experience does not need to have been in the performing arts; we love math teachers / science teachers / English teachers, and so on!)

We look at performers with a lot of stage experience **and** also those with less experience, but who have the right personality and aptitude. We're doing something very unique in the field of corporate entertainment, and we will often train the right people on our games and other offerings.

Please note: You will be successful on our troupe if you can do all of the following:

  • Be on time – you will need your own reliable vehicle for this gig
  • Be in costume – guidelines and assistance provided from owner and fellow troupe-mates
  • Take supportive, yet direct critiques & feedback on your performances
  • Communicate early and often, in whatever way feels best to you
  • Work with diverse audiences and want to foster a sense of inclusivity and celebration

Application requirements: Please submit a CV that includes your specific experience as an emcee (MC), entertainer, performance artist, impersonator, event host, leader of groups, teacher, improv artist, auctioneer, or your other experience on stage or at a microphone. We’d also like to see a brief (30-90 second) video of you, where you introduce yourself & tell us about what appeals to you about hosting live games & game shows. This can be super casual but it must be included in order for your application to be considered. (You can send a Dropbox link or an attachment.) Please be sure to include your phone number, and availability to interview the first week in November.

(Please note that incomplete applications will not be considered. Please take the time to read the application requirements below. If you already submitted your application and realize later it was incomplete, it’s cool if you want to resubmit.)

The top candidates will be invited to interview in early November, and audition in mid-November. Gigs start in early December.

All bookings are paid, and 100% of tips go directly to hosts. Gig rates depend on duration of engagement and other factors, but expect $150 to $400+ per 1-2 hour gig.
