Looking for a Stagehand Willing to Travel

The National Theatre for Children (NTC) is hiring a stagehand to assist with a traveling production of FutureSmart Live Onstage, an interactive performance, teaching financial literacy to middle school students. Experience in sound engineering preferred, but not required.

Duties consist of:

Assist TD in unloading van, and setting up scenery, sound and lighting equipment. (All equipment will be provided by NTC.)

Run light or sound board during performance (de-pending on experience in either)

Assist TD in striking all scenery and equipment and loading the van

Drive (along with TD) cargo van of scenery and equipment to Las Vegas and back, then to Springfield, MA and back. (Travel costs and hotels paid for by NTC.)

Schedule –

April 26 –29 Tech rehearsals (local)

April 30 – Preview (local)

May 3 – Preview (local)

May 5: Drive to Vegas (with TD)

May 9: Performance in Vegas, Begin drive back to Twin Cities

 2 weeks off – Possible brush up rehearsal before Springfield, but currently tbd

May 25: Drive to Springfield MA (with TD)

May 29: Performance in Springfield, Begin drive home to Twin Cities

Compensation $1,000
