Guthrie seeks non-union actors 17 & up for essential roles in A CHRISTMAS CAROL. Big commitment 15th October through 29th December 2019 at the Guthrie. All races and ethnicities encouraged to audition.

Audition Sunday, June 23rd.
Sign-in for women's roles from 10:00-10:30am. Sign-in for men's roles from 12:00-12:30pm. No need to prepare anything.

If you play a flute, violin, viola, mandolin, or trumpet, please feel free to bring that to the audition.

Uprising Theatre Company: In A Stand of Dying Trees Auditions

Show Summary:

 

In A Stand of Dying Trees by Shannon TL Kearns is a new work in development. Part of a 4 show season on gun violence, this show is the story of Ben, a transgender man who has moved to a rural area to live his life in peace. That idyllic life is put in danger when Liam, a trans political organizer, comes to town. A play about rural and urban divide, politics, and what we do to keep each other safe.

Auditions for Eden Prairie Players Collection of One Acts

Eden Prairie Players will be holding auditions for our 2019 Collection of One Acts, featuring a new selection of seven original plays, on June 25 and 26. We have 22 roles to fill. All roles are for adults in a broad range of ages except for one teenage girl and one preteen girl (we will consider actors aged 9 and above). Details of the plays are below.

Lead Role at DayTrippers Dinner Theatre

Seeking the role of JOHNNY in the play Bermuda Avenue Triangle by Joseph Bologna and Renee Taylor. Johnny is a lead role in the play. He is an elderly, suave gambler. Dresses elegantly and is a compulsive liar.  He is charming and persuasive  as both our leading ladies in the play fall in love with him.  Johnny is lovable and has a big heart in spite of his difficulties with the truth.  The actor's age can vary, but realistically I'm looking for someone in the 50-70 age range.

Male Chorus for July HMS Pinafore

The Gilbert and Sullivan Very Light Opera Company is looking for basses and tenors for the chorus of its summer production of H.M.S. Pinafore.  The performances are the evenings of July 13 and 14 at the Lake Harriet Bandshell in Minneapolis.  This is a concert version, with the chorus using scores during the performances.  It is performed in partnership with the Minneapolis Pops.  There are four rehearsals at the end of June to prep the music and two evening rehearsals the week of the performance.  There is also a run-through with the orchestra on the morning of the July 13 performance.

NTC is Casting for Fall and Winter Tours (June 10th)

The National Theatre for Children is seeking actors for its fall and winter tours on June 10th at its office in Golden Valley. NTC actors perform in two-actor troupes that tour a state performing in schools and teaching students about important societal issues. All of our shows are original, comedic pieces that touch on issues like water conservation, energy efficiency, financial literacy, nutrition, STEM, and others. Rehearsals last one week and are held at our building in Golden Valley. Our tours last six to eight weeks.
