Ticketing Associate 

 

Status: A part-time, hourly position that reports to the Ticket Office Manager 

 

JOB OVERVIEW 

 

Park Square and SteppingStone Theatres seek a personable, motivated, enthusiastic part-time employee to provide the highest level of customer service for ticket sales, data processing and subscription renewals for our loyal patrons. The right candidate is calm under pressure, naturally outgoing, and quick with point of sale or database entry. The position is 20-25 hours per week, with opportunities for additional hours as required.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES 

 

• Answer calls and respond to voicemails on the general ticket line 

• Handle ticket sales, exchanges, and subscription renewals over the phone and at the ticket office window 

• Assist with other data-related duties, including processing donations, school group bookings, invoices and letters of recognition 

• Assist with miscellaneous office projects as needed 

• Maintain a positive atmosphere and orderly work environment 

• Work as a team with other employees to create a great customer experience 

• Other duties as assigned 

 

QUALIFICATIONS OR REQUIREMENTS 

 

Required: 

 

• High School diploma or GED required, Associates or Bachelor's degree is a plus 

• Experience with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook 

• A proven track record of excellent customer service in sales, reservations or similar retail environment 

• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of customers, clients, and co-workers 

• Ability to present a polite, professional, and upbeat demeanor in person and over the phone 

• Ability to maintain a calm and positive attitude under pressure situations 

• Available to work Tuesday through Friday afternoons from 11:30 AM to 5 PM, as well as occasional nights and weekends 

• Flexibility, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task 

 

Preferred: 

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree 

• Ticket office and ushering experience a plus 

• Prior experience with online ticketing software or databases a plus 

• Passion for theatre, arts, and arts education 

• Minimum of three years demonstrated sense of humor a plus, but we can always work on that 

 

Compensation: $15/hour, 2 comp tickets to every Park Square production, bus pass or subsidized parking provided, a fun working environment that believes in celebrating the little victories along the way and working together to face the challenges.  We are seeking a minimum commitment of six months from the chosen applicant.
