Position Descriptions

The lighting designer will need to attend production meetings soon after joining.  In the time up to theater move-in, the designer will become acquainted with the current design and concepts. At the time of move-in (Feb. 27-March 4) the designer will set up the lighting in the theater, set up the lighting cues, and work with the director on the technical set-up.  Volunteer assistance will be provided. On closing night the designer will implement and supervise the lighting strike.

The Properties Designer  will work with the director and the company  to determine the nature of the properties for the production, determine which properties can be acquired and which shall be produced, provide rehearsal props until the actual props are available, and deliver final props at an agreed upon time for the production.  The properties designer will have a budget of $1000 for the show’s properties and will have some volunteer labor available to help with the making of props.

The company will have access to the theater to start set construction and lighting on Saturday, February 25. Rehearsals in the theater will begin on Monday, February 28 and will continue for two Tech Weeks. The Follow Spot Operator and A/V Technician will start working with the Lighting Designer, Stage Manager and directors on days to be determined, during the two Tech Weeks.
