Professional Voice-Over Workshops

Professional Voice-Over Workshops at Undertone Music, with Beth Chaplin and Tom Hambleton (plus special guest coaches for selected sessions).

Professional voice-over workshops are for experienced, trained actors who are serious about pursuing voice-over work, and/or voice-over talent with professional experience who want to become more competitive in the VO market.

This is not a beginning workshop.  Participants must have either significant acting experience or training, or professional voice-over experience. Prerequisites -- participants must have one or more of the following:

  • Significant actor training and stage or film experience
  • Significant on-camera commercial experience
  • A pro voice-over demo and some pro VO experience
  • Talent agency representation or recommendation
  • Previous pro VO workshop

The voice-over market is more competitive than ever, making your read more important than ever.  These workshops are all about voice acting techniques and the art and craft of voice-over.  Our focus is on you and your copy interpretation to create your most bookable reads.  You will leave the workshop with new tools to approach copy and make your reads more truthful and authentic.  (This is about making you more marketable, not how to market yourself or how to build a home studio.)

Following your workshop, you'll receive your recorded audio files for possible use on future VO demos.

Full day workshops:

  • Saturday, September 30, 9:30am – 4:30pm
  • Monday and Tuesday, October 16 and 17, 6:30-9:30pm

(We also offer follow-up, 3-hour VO workout sessions for previous participants and those with advanced VO experience.  Special guest coaches for select sessions include: Tina Zaremba and Mark Beninghofen.)
