PT Activations Manager—DISPATCH

$40.00

Salary: $40/hr

Commitment: 6-10 hrs/week, minimum 10 weeks

DISPATCH is searching for an enthusiastic Activations Manager with a "can-do" attitude to assist our organization in running events that increase the organization’s visibility. There are two immediate needs for this position: Activations that happen at large public events that feature our old-timey newsstand and newsies handing out papers, and managing a weekly pop-up market.

The event manager will be tasked with:

  • Setting up, tearing down, and staffing the DISPATCH presence at events like Art-a-Whirl, Open Streets, and more
  • Working with paid staff at the events
  • Managing a weekend pop-market + the vendors

The ideal candidate for this role should demonstrate exceptional organizational abilities, superb interpersonal skills, multi-tasking skills, and excellent time-management. There’s a flexible schedule, but all events are in-person. All of the activations will be planned, these events need someone to show up on the day of and execute!  

Activations Manager Responsibilities:

Brainstorming and implementing event plans and concepts.

Liaising and negotiating with vendors.

Handling logistics.

Developing event feedback surveys.

Obtaining permits.

Handling post-event reports.

 

Activations Manager Requirements:

Communication and marketing skills.

Project management experience.

Proficiency in various event software.

Risk management experience.
