A Midsummer Night's Dream navigates the story of youthful lovers getting their first glimpse of the indescribable, a crew of workers cobbling together a show out of sheer passion, and the magical forces that make it all possible. SYT's "Dream" will be set in a vista reminiscent of a Broadway rehearsal room (think Bob Fosse meets Pina Bausch), and use organic elements of theatrical construction to create an emergent landscape whereby our most invisible joys and desires become manifest. Safe to say, there will be ne'er a set of fairy wings in sight.
