Love to have fun, collaborate with talented actors, and share improv theatre with great audiences? Then we're looking for YOU as our next Improv season Director!
Locally Grown Theatre produces a three-month winter Improv season in January, February, and March--to give our audiences an opportunity to laugh and be in community during the cold season here in Minnesota. We have a talented and quirky group of Improv 10-15 actors who range in age from 10 to 70--and we are looking for a dynamic, experience, and fun director to provide some continuity and support and guidance for our 3+ performances.
Current performance dates: January 19, February 23, and March 16, 2018--all Friday evenings. These performances are at Cottage Grove United Church of Christ 7008 Lamar Ave S. Cottage Grove MN 55016. There will be 3 scheduled rehearsals prior to the first performance, determined in communication with the director and the Improv cast. Other rehearsals will be scheduled at the director's discretion, and as necessary for performance readiness. IN ADDITION, we have been asked in the past to do some 'traveling shows' around the area for different events, so there may be additional performances included over the next few months. Director stipend provided at the completion of the Improv season.
If interested, please send cover letter and resume to Emily D. H. Olson, Artistic Director at [email protected].
DEADLINE FOR RESUME SUBMISSION: FRIDAY DECEMBER 8, 2017.
The mission of Locally Grown Theatre is to plant the seed of theater; to cultivate the inner artist in youth; to nurture the love of theatre arts within the community; to grow artists, of all ages, through experimentation of multiple theatrical forms.
We are a community theatre serving the communities of Cottage Grove, St. Paul Park, Newport, Grey Cloud Island, and the surrounding area.
