Stage Combat Training

Rate of Pay:

Art In Arms is returning this spring with even more of its nationally renowned performer training! Our expanded offerings accommodate a wide variety of skill levels and schedules. Whether you plan on swinging a sword onstage or not, get in touch with your body and practice the things you want in every performance:

*Pursuing your character's objective

*Connecting with your scene partner and staying in the moment

*Committing to bold choices

*Recognizing potential safety hazards and advocating for yourself and castmates

Our students range from hobbyists to professional actors and stunt performers, from first-time actors to seasoned veteran fight choreographers. We've helped authors refine their descriptions of fight scenes, given college professors tools to take back to their classrooms, and even served as the launching pad for Black Panther's stunt double. Whatever your goals, we'll work with you towards them and have fun while we do it - all right here in Saint Paul.

Up first: our Dueling Arts unarmed intensive workshop.  Get a crash course foundation in the most common elements of onstage violence, all in a weekend.  Perfect for folks who don't want to commit to a full semester, but want more than an hourlong intro.
