The Gray Mallard Theater Co. Shakespeare's Twelfth Night
The Gray Mallard Theater Company (GMTC) presents: Shakespeare at the Pub 2023 and seeks actors for Twelfth Night. Directed by Buddy Haardt.
The GMTC brought you Richard III last summer at Sociable Cider Werks. The GMTC is a classical theater company based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Our mission is to bring a thoughtful, inclusive, and professional outdoor summer Shakespeare experience to the Twin Cities community. We are seeking actors for our second season-Twelfth Night at Sociable Cider Werks directed by Buddy Haardt.
We have a residency of nine shows over three weekends in July and August. The shows will take place outdoors and be free for audiences. Our adaptation is 90 minutes. Visit www.thegraymallardtheater.org for more information.
Important Dates:
1st Rehearsal: June 17th
Opening: July 20th
Shows: Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays @ 7:00 PM
Closing August 6th
Rehearsals: 4:00-10:00 PM Tuesday-Friday, 10:00 AM-5:00 PM Saturdays and Sundays. Tech schedule is TBD.
The GMTC currently operates under the SPT Transitional agreement Actor’s Equity Association (AEA). AEA Contract: $279 per week. There are 3 AEA contracts available. Other contracts are $200 per week.

Auditions:
In-person auditions SUNDAY, MARCH 12th 11:00 AM-7:00 PM (lunch 1:00-2:00) at the Blair Arcade Building in St. Paul, lower level. Masks are required in the waiting room.
We are accepting video auditions. Union and non-union may submit via video. Email videos to [email protected] as a YouTube or Vimeo link. In-person and video auditions will be given equal consideration. Video deadline 03/12/2023
Callbacks March 21st and 22nd, time and location TBD
Audition Requirements:
Two contrasting Shakespeare monologues, one in verse. 3 minutes total.
