Theatrical Carpenter/Set Builder Needed 

The PAC Educational Theater in Plymouth is seeking some additional people for our upcoming Spring 2023 production of The Music Man. Music Man begins rehearsing in February and the performance dates are May 5-8. 

We are seeking a Theatrical Carpenter/Master Carpenter to aid our current Technical Director in putting on this fantastic show. This is a part time position and the timing of hours is flexible. We are looking for this person to start as soon as possible. This is a paid position. The rate of pay currently $2,000.

Qualifications

• Experience designing/building sets for theater productions preferred greatly. Experience and/or degrees in theater set design or other carpentry/ design fields are also accepted.
• Portfolio of previous work or references also preferred. 

Job Duties

• Occasional meetings with creative team regarding progress and goals 
• Work independently and with current TD/Master Carpenter to create sets and large props based on existing design 
• Full competence and experience with power tools (all provided by Theater) 
• Potential education of student volunteers and working with them to imbue the love of theater in all its applications
• Assist in strike and transportation of set items to storage 

Other Details 

• Stipend: $2000 (We are willing to hire multiple applicants for this project and stipends would then depend on availability and experience) 
• This is a position with the possibility of recurring work. PAC Theater does 5 shows a season with a potential 6th show being in discussion.
