Trompe l’oeil is requesting video auditions for their 2020 Minnesota Fringe Festival production of an original new historical musical.
Where to send: Please send headshot, resume, any conflicts and a video audition to [email protected]
What to prepare: Pick your favorite Broadway song and record at least 16 bars from that song. Please also record and include 1 minute of your favorite monologue.
We are seeking people in their late 20s to 60s to play a variety of characters from the 1920s and 30s. More details about the show will be presented at a later callback date.
PLEASE NOTE: We will continue to monitor updates from health organizations, local and state government and the Twin Cities performing arts community for recommendations during the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak, and will delay or adjust our proposed schedule as required for the health and safety of all cast and crew during this time.
PROPOSED SCHEDULE: Actors should be available for rehearsals two to three weeknights per week from the beginning of June through the end of July. The Fringe Festival will schedule the tech assignments for the week of July 26. There will be five performances as part of the Minnesota Fringe Festival (July 30-August 9, exact performance times and our Tier 3 venue TBD). All performers will be paid for their work via profit sharing from the proceeds of the ticket sales.
