For Works in Process of all performance modalities
Theatre, Dance, Music, Film, Community-Engaged Performance, and New Media
cfpa will choose up to three Twin Cities-based artists at any stage in their careers to bring an existing piece and/or way-of-working into further development during our Spring short-term residency. The key components of this residency are free rehearsal space and mentorship (from a professional whose work intersects with yours; from the cfpa team; and among co-residency artists.) The residency concludes with a public presentation and audience conversation.
Application Deadline: February 1st, 2019, 6 pm
Apply here: goo.gl/forms/Sil0AabgoagzROsY2
Please note the selection process for these residencies is competitive and will be based on the artist’s proposed project, quality of work sample, achievability of goals, and relevance to cfpa’s mission and goals. We will announce residency artists on February 6th, 2019.
CFPA’s ReClaim series is an assembly space to connect all kinds of audiences, artists, experiences, and stories. Our events explore the vitality and evolution of American identity, and the ways in which creative works reflect our lived experience (or not). Our events grapple with the stories we hear and see, the stories we make and tell, and the ways in which we are (or are not) changed by creative representations of our experiences. We support artists who engage fiercely with the complex and contradictory nature of the human experience. We support audiences who yearn for greater personal engagement between works of art and the daily life of our community. We assemble for lively questions, dynamic conversation, and to encourage new ways of understanding each other’s lives.
CFPA produces art events on the Third Saturday of most months. All events are Pay-What-You-Can and open to the public.
For more information on the artists and on the series, visit www.cfpampls.com and click on “ReClaim Series.”
