A protest about theater in Hibbing

News
I just freakin' love this article. Michael Ricci, the Hibbing Community College Theater director for the past 12 years is moving to North Hennepin Community College, so Hibbing Community College wants to eliminate the Department Director position. This well-written article by Catherine Conlan at minnpost.com describes not only the real live protest that some Hibbing theater lovers organized against this decision but also includes reactions from the community about the theater department, including but not limited to business owners, as well as actual attendance numbers that support the idea that people in the community want their theater. And, she doesn't demonize the college administration for their decision either. But, most of all, I love this article because it sounds like this protest got more people than the local "tea parties" that were reported as such a big deal on the Fox cable channel.
