City Pages cuts theater coverage in half

News

Every single department at City Pages has endured cuts in the last week -- from the food section to the A-list editors.

Now, theater critic Quinton Skinner's job is being reduced by half. Though an effort will remain to have some theater coverage every issue, his long reviews will appear only every other week (rather than every week). The small spotlight with theater listings will appear on alternate weeks.

Quinton is diplomatic, saying, "City Pages has been nothing but supportive of my work and local theater for the past four-plus years. I'll continue to cover theater for the paper, in a lesser capacity for now, but with the hope that the economy will turn around and that we'll return to full weekly coverage sooner rather than later."

Quick, Everyone, start hoping.
