MPR wants you

News
Minnesota Public Radio is trying to build a database of performing artists to use as sources for a new segment called "Art Hounds." Here's the info:
Attention Minnesota artists, art advocates and art lovers, MPR News has developed a new weekly segment we want you to know about, and consider being a part of. It's called "Art Hounds." Each weekly installment of "Art Hounds" will feature three members of the Minnesota arts community talking briefly about a performance, opening, or event they're excited to see or want others to see. The only stipulation is that it can't be your own work or work you're professionally associated with. We'd love it if you could keep in touch with us on local art that you've discovered or expect will be captivating in some way. If artists want to be a part of Art Hounds, we’re asking that they fill out this form: Even if you don’t have any events you’d like to highlight in the near future, filling out this form will get you on an email list that we’ll check in with every couple of weeks. (To hear the segments that have aired so far, click here.)
We've been assured that a) Your information will not be used for any other reason than the one stated, i.e., you will not be contacted for marketing purposes but only in regard to this project and b) They do in fact use this database. According to Molly Bloom, who contacted us, two of three artists for last weeks Art Hounds were drawn from this database -- unfortunately, at the moment, they don't have information on very many performing artists. Contact Molly Bloom if you have any questions.
