Our box scores return with information from opening weekends of two exciting local shows.
Remember: Box scores are intended to give you a quick sense of what happened one evening at the theater in one place. The numbers are symbolic shorthand for information that would otherwise be too cumbersome to describe or collect.
If you think that they're a substitute for seeing the show, you are mistaken. Or, more to the relevant point for our website, if you think that any audience member thinks they are substitute for seeing the show, we really think you are wildly mistaken.
All they do, as symbolic information systems do in a variety of formats (not just sports), is help build curiousity about your work by providing more dynamic information.
