Don’s current news
Currently playing as "Georg Bamberger" in Peter Shaffer's Black Comedy at Theatre in the Round, directed by Brian Joyce. Recently played various roles (employer, cop, homophobic father, etc.) as part of the Ensemble in Origin Story, written and directed by Alex Goebel, for Minnesota Fringe Festival, August 2019 at the Crane Theater. Earlier this year, I've also played a kindly grandfather in Letters by Ginny Gangl Leutgeb for Applause Community Theater at Dreamland Arts in St. Paul and Big Daddy in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof for Passport Stages at Merrill Community Arts Center, Woodbury.
Having retired from a long run as an English professor at Minnesota State University, Mankato, I've returned to my earlier love of theater and acting. I feel fortunate to have been cast in eight plays over the last three years and look forward to further chances to interact with the artists and audiences in this community that values theater so highly.
