Biography

John Heimbuch is a writer, director, performer and the Co-Artistic Director of Walking Shadow Theatre Company.

His work has been called playful, witty, complex, geeky, intense, and absorbing.

His original scripts include William Shakespeare's Land of the DeadThe Transdimensional Couriers Union, DrakulThe Legend of Sleepy HollowS. Gunter Klaus and the Story Before, Squawk, 10-Speed Revolution, Or the White Whale, and The Lives of the Most Notorious Highwaymen. His plays have been produced across the US and Canada. 

He has a passion for cinema, dance, puppetry, mask, ensemble theatre, and game development. He enjoys reading about science, culture, history, art, and myth. 

In his free time, he performs with retro-futurist art rock band Bad September.
