A feature-length performance based on the life and work of British-born Mexican artist Leonora Carrington, one of the great surrealist painters and authors of the 20th Century. In this “shadow opera,” shadow puppetry, projections, and narration combine with music coursing throughout the production in a dreamlike fashion. Created by Spires That In The Sunset Rise (Ka Baird and Taralie Peterson) and Erik Ruin, with various local music and performance acts opening or closing for each performance.
