Lift Off: An American Counter-Myth about Sex, Loneliness and Outer Space is a horny tragicomedy set during the Sputnik Crisis of 1957, when Elvis was king and science was patriotic. In a moment of national disbelief and suspension, anything can happen - and does. A dog sings. A robot orgasms. The Moon changes gender with each new phase. Lift Off is a poetic play that challenges us to confront our own epic longing.

This semi-staged reading will be followed by a SEX Q+A by Shawny Sena, sex educator

and BURLESQUE by Bombshell La Belle

Lift Off is a new play written by Elle Thoni

directed by Anna Kunin

and featuring the onstage talents of:

Maxwell Collyard
Kat Luna
Jon Peterson
Angela Olson
Justin Caron
Blake Love
