The Nunnery "Fire Dove" Album Release Show

The Nunnery is a solo act based out of Minneapolis that creates meditative lush soundscapes with layered vocals and catchy hooks. The music is often described as more of an experience than just a sound. The Nunnery enjoys improvising and creating music based on the atmosphere in the space, and her live shows often combine other forms of art. Ethereal and abstract textured visuals will complement the music throughout the night. 

The singer has played with several bands in the past, mainly folk rock groups. The Nunnery is an unintentional solo project that simply came together after many jam sessions with a loop pedal in her room. She recorded her album herself, and with help from a few friends mixed and mastered it over the winter and spring of 2017.

Idle Empress will open the show, performing in a stripped down solo set. New solo endeavor “Freaque” from Gabriel Roderick is a voyage into the worlds of pain, sex, love and revolution, with a melancholy sound that disguises his hopeful ideologies. Come dig in.
