Two Twin Cities originals join forces on June 13, 2019 for one epic kick-off to summer – MartinPatrick3 hosts Summer Soirée, a benefit for ARENA DANCES. The evening will feature craft cocktails, delicious hors d’oeuvres from Chowgirls Catering, performances by ARENA DANCES and a silent auction of one-of-a-kind items and experiences. The event is from 5 – 8 pm and no advance ticket purchase or reservation is required.

Since 1995, ARENA DANCES has been delighting audiences and educating youth not only throughout the state of Minnesota but internationally. Founded by Artistic Director and Choreographer, Mathew Janczewski the mission of ARENA DANCES is to make dance accessible to all through the presentation of contemporary dance, educational outreach, and community gatherings to inspire, promote dialogue and diversity. ARENA DANCES continues to evolve and strengthen this mission each year through the introduction of new programming, attention on diverse collaboration and venues, and crafting socially-relevant choreographic works. We aim to raise awareness and support for the work ARENA is pursuing in its 23rd year of life in the Twin Cities dance community...and to welcome in the long awaited summer weather! Come celebrate the summer night with crafted beverages, hors d'oeuvres, experiential and unique auction items and much more. Her son Walter Lee, a chauffeur, has other plans: buying a liquor store and being his own man. Meanwhile, granddaughter Beneatha dreams of medical school.

The Younger family’s heroic struggle to retain dignity in a harsh and changing world is a timeless document of hope and inspiration.
