Drama, Storytelling

What if humans were inherently good? What if, instead of deceit and greed, society was based on hope and trust? Sandbox Theatre imagines such a reality with the world premiere of 600 Years. In 600 Years, the human race — depleted by centuries of self-destruction — is now guided by the communal effort to make the planet a better place…together. Elite bands of highly skilled women known as Seekers brave harsh landscapes to reconnect society, carrying with them gifts of hope, history and knowledge. As humans work to rectify their destructive past, the dawning of a new human nature begins.

A celebration of hope, this world premiere event is created from scratch by the Sandbox Theatre ensemble.

This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
