Auditions for VanWinkle: A Folk Musical Workshop

This is an acoustic folk musical and we are looking for appropriately skilled actor-musicians, for example (but not exclusively) guitar, harmonica, acoustic bass, violin/viola, flute, percussion. 

RIP VAN WINKLE: 35-45, restless, charismatic. Voice type: baritone. Preferred instrument: basic guitar or harmonica a plus but not a necessity.
WANDA VAN WINKLE/SARAH: 25-35, world-weary, loving.  Voice type: mezzo or alto.

Auditions for "If You Don't Weaken"

Freshwater Theatre is pleased to announce auditions for our spring show, "If You Don't Weaken", a world premiere dramedy by Jenna Zark, directed by Ariel Leaf.

Combining a pole dancer, crumbling synagogue, feisty friends, 1930s porn videos, a local Jewish day school, religious awakening…and a ghost, "If You Don’t Weaken" centers on a young woman’s quest to observe a year-long ritual of mourning for her grandfather.

"If You Don’t Weaken" will run March 28-April 11, 2015 at Nimbus Theatre.

Lyric Arts: 2 men needed for A CHRISTMAS CAROL

Due to last minute scheduling conflicts, Lyric Arts is in need of two actors to fill roles in our upcoming production of "A Christmas Carol: A Ghost Story of Christmas," directed by Benjamin Kutschied.

We are looking for some one to play Fezziwig/Topper/Old Joe (Male, 40-60's) and a Solicitor (Male or Female, 20+).

The show will run for 17 performances between November 21 and December 21, and begins rehearsing the week of September 22. Rehearsal schedule is flexible.

Guthrie seeks Kids for THE MUSIC MAN

Guthrie seeks non-union boys & girls (8 to 13 yrs old—cannot be older than 13 on 23rd August 2015) for roles in THE MUSIC MAN. Big commitment 19th May through 23rd August 2015. Cast members will be required to sing & dance. Kids who play band instruments are especially encouraged to audition (no need to bring instruments to the initial audition on the 29th).

Audition for kids: Monday, 29th September. Girls sign in 5 – 5:30 pm. Boys sign in 7-7:30 pm.

Callbacks: If your child is needed for callbacks they will be held on Monday, 6th October in the evening.

Feature Film Extras Needed for Art Gallery Party

We are currently casting extras for an independent feature film "Dragonfly." Co-Directed by Maribeth Romslo and Cara Greene Epstein, Produced by Mim Epstein.

All extra roles will be compensated with snacks/meals (when applicable), copy, and credit. There's a possibility for a small speaking role for some extras. These scenes will all be shot in one day September 23rd at a Northeast Minneapolis art gallery.

These roles will all pay $100-$200/day (depending on the role) plus meals, copy, and credit. The film will be shot on weekends during the fall and winter in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area.
