The Gilbert & Sullivan Very Light Opera Company will hold auditions for our March 2015 production of H.M.S. Pinafore on Sunday, November 9, 2014, 5:00 to 9:00 pm, and Monday, November 10, 2014, 7:30 to 10:00 pm. Call Backs will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2014, starting at 7:00 pm.

This production of H.M.S. Pinafore will be directed by Lesley Hendrickson, with Music Direction by Randy Buikema.

The auditions will be held at Lake Harriet Methodist Church, at 4901 South Chowen Avenue, Minneapolis, Minnesota 55410.

This full-time position will be responsible for coordinating all technical elements of a production, including participating in the building of scenery, implementation of lighting & sound designs, pricing scenic designs, materials acquisition & attending technical rehearsals.

Qualifications include:

Bachelor’s degree in technical theatre.
A minimum of two years technical supervisory experience.
Interest in working with young people as actors and technicians.
Ability to work as a member of a team.
Strong organizational and communication skills

Help Open Window Theatre save Christmas! (Or at least its Christmas production.) OWT is holding open auditions on Sat., November 1 for "Christmas in Niatirb" by Jeremy Stanbary, directed by Matthew Greseth. We are looking for actresses (18-40s) and actors (mid 20s-40s) for a handful of supporting and leading roles.

Rehearsals begin right away the week of November 3rd and the show runs December 5-30. Compensation includes a base rate stipend plus an additional 1% box office profit share. Total compensation is estimated to range between $500-$800 based on the role.
