The Further Adventure of Nick Tickle, Fairy Tale Detective

General Audition Information

Auditions will be held in person in the Black Box Theater at the Phipps Center for the Arts located at 109 Locust St, Hudson, WI 54016.

Auditions are open to performers in grades 7-9.

Audition Details 

Auditions will be held on Monday, February 19 and Tuesday, February 20 from 6:00-8:00pm. More audition slots may be added if all the available slots fill up. 

Actors must fill out the audition form (attached to sign up). You may fill it out and bring it to the audition or fill it out when you arrive. 

Those auditioning will be asked to read a side from the show (attached to sign up). All students will also be asked to act out a simple pantomime prompt, which will be drawn from a hat (make and eat the best piece of toast you've ever tasted, win a sword fight, make and give someone a poisoned apple, for example). 

If needed, callbacks will be held on Thursday, February 22 from 6:00-8:00pm in the River Room at the Phipps. 

What to Bring 

  • An up-to-date headshot. If you do not have a headshot or up-to-date picture of yourself, you may be asked to stand for a photo when you arrive. 

  • Your completed audition form.

About the Show 

Everyone’s favorite gumshoe is back with another thrilling adventure! Old Granny Possum is entertaining us with her slightly irregular version of “Snow White and Just the Two Very Tall Dwarves” when she’s kidnapped by Bluebeard and his band of scurvy pirates! Thank goodness Nick Tickle has been hired to get her back. Can he outwit the kidnappers and save her or is she gone for good?

Scheduling Information 

Rehearsals Begin: Monday, March 18

Tech Week Begins: Saturday, April 27

Performances: Fridays, May 3, 10, & 17, 2024 at 7 p.m.

Saturdays, May 4, 11, & 18, 2024, at 1 & 4 p.m.

Sundays, May 5, 12, & 19, 2024, at 2 p.m.

COVID Policy 

Masks are optional during auditions and rehearsals. Tech rehearsals and performances will be unmasked. 

Proof of vaccination is no longer required.
