Blue Water Theatre Company of Wayzata, MN invites youth actors currently in Gr. 6-12 to audition for our July production of Grease: School Version.
In person auditions will be held on May 20 & 22 from 6:00-9:00 pm at our theatre located at 605 Rice St. E. in Wayzata. Video auditions will also be accepted.
(NOTE: AUDITIONS THAT WERE ORIGINALLY SCHEDULED ON MAY 21 HAVE BEEN MOVED TO MAY 22.)
- Sign up for an audition slot (in person only)
- Fill out an actor audition form (due by audition)
- Auditions consist of singing 16-32 bars of a song (from a musical or another artist of your choosing) and reciting a short monologue (up to 1 minute). Songs can be sung a cappella or you may play a music track from a phone. Monologues can come from a script of a play, a poem, a chapter book, or other sources. Get creative and pick something that is funny or shows emotion and your uniqueness.

Callbacks, if necessary, will be held on May 28 from 7:00-9:00 pm at the theatre.
Rehearsals will be held most Monday-Thursday evenings from 6:00-9:00 pm and on Saturdays from 9:00 am to noon beginning May 30. All actors will not be called for every rehearsal.
Performances will be held at 7:00 pm on July 12, 13, 19 & 20 and at 2:00 pm on July 13, 14, 20 & 21, 2024.
