SERIES SUMMARY
When Kyra is forced to join an after-school club and told to make friends in her new school, she takes the opportunity to form a detective squad, to investigate the unusual town of Maxville-Oldale, where she lives. She begrudgingly allows classmates Ellie, Evan, and Dewford to join on her investigations, forming Detective Squad 214. Throughout the year, the squad will discover new things about their town, their faith, and themselves.
PAY
Actors will be paid at a rate per half-day shoot, and will sign a Temporary Employee Agreement with Eagle Brook Church.
LOCATION
Most filming will take place in our studio in Spring Lake Park, MN.
Twin Cities local actors only, please.
PRODUCTION DURATION & SCHEDULE
11 months, July 2024 - May 2025.
Filming will take place 2-3 days per month (usually Thursdays or Fridays) during business hours.
DISTRIBUTION
This video series will consist of 38 episodes, one per weekend in the elementary kids ministry at Eagle Brook Church's 12+ locations throughout the 2024-2025 school year. The videos will also be posted to YouTube each week, and will be made available to other churches around the world.

KYRA DOBSON - female, age 15 (actor age 16 - early 20s)
- Strengths: Takes pride in being practical, consistent, efficient, and relentless. Takes immediate action. Gives every project 110%. Talks like a cop. Loyal.
- Weaknesses: Reading or showing emotions. Fashion. Trying new foods. Exhibiting patience. Admitting failure or weakness.

ELLIE LUNA - female, age 15 (actor age 16 - early 20s)
- Strengths: Fun. Making friends with anyone. Confetti, glitter, and sparkles.
- Weaknesses: Anything boring. Negative emotions. Committing to plans. Prone to flightiness.

EVAN LUNA - male, age 14 (actor age 16 - early 20s)
- Strengths: Science. Data. Following the rules. Thinking things through. Coming up with inventions.
- Weaknesses: Social anxiety. Making decisions. Terrified of breaking the rules.

DEWFORD MAXWELL - male, age 16 (actor age 16 - early 20s)

MR. HECTOR DOBSON (Kyra's Dad) - male, age 42 (actor age 30s - 50s)
- Strengths: Police detective work. Keen observation skills. Was possibly cool a couple decades ago.
- Weaknesses: Understanding youth, especially his teenage daughter. Cooking.
- Character Inspiration: Keith Mars (Veronica Mars), Henry Spencer (Psych), Alan Matthews (Boy Meets World), Carlton Lassiter (Psych)
MRS. SARAH OLDALE (Science Teacher) - female, age 29 (actor age mid-20s - 40s)
- Strengths: Voice of reason. Humorously truthful, but is careful not to offend. Witty. Peaceful.
- Weaknesses: Conflict avoidant. She can keep it together through chaos, but it can take a lot out of her. She has her own humorous freakouts once in a while.
