The Momentum Dance series has been an important platform for emerging dancers and choreographers in the Twin Cities for the past decade” - Star Tribune

MNartists.org has described past Momentum performances as representing "the diversity and strength of Twin Cities dance" where a "sense of trained, intentional risk, this shared moment of vulnerability and confidence speaks loudly to the hours and energy that all the choreographers and dancers ... invested to get here."

Momentum is among the most popular platforms of emerging choreographic talent in the Twin Cities. Featuring two new works each evening, the series highlights an exciting next generation of dance creators.

    De’Light
    Like an exquisite corpse drawing, divided into three parts that combine to complete one fantastical form, the three artists in //CATHEDRAL\\ assemble themselves into strange images to create a dreamscape of dance. De’Light is a nonstop slithering slideshow that blends into a single storyline sideshow, ever dabbling in fairy tales and mysticism.

    "6"
    Super powers, super heroes, super natural? STRONGmovement finds strength in humanity. Shielding themselves while navigating inside their new fate, the characters in “6” reveal the next step in human evolution, where past/present/future can be manipulated, and each individual’s inner resilience bonds them to face the unknown as an interconnected force.
