Steve Barone is currently an in-house creative/editor at an ad agency in Minneapolis and is in the Guinness Book of World Record for the most mashed potato wrestling championships of the universe. In 2007, the former guitarist/keyboard player in Lifter Puller and main lip-syncer guy in the Hawaii Show wanted to teach himself how to edit video in Final Cut Pro as quickly as possible. He approached the guys that were running a simple one page HTML local concert calendar called minnieindie.com and asked if he could embed a video there each week when they updated the site. They agreed. Borrowing the name from the website, the series became known as Minnie Indie and featured himself and his friends in quirky, lo-fi, crappy green screen, totally pixelated videos in 640x480 standard def glory. He wanted to make 52 videos in 52 weeks. He failed. He only got to 51. Dis!
