"Moderation--I am against it!"

Before Rachel Ray, Gordan Ramsay and even Julia Child, there was James Beard - America's first TV chef and namesake of the coveted culinary prize.  In this delicious one-man comedy, Beard welcomes us into his Greenwich Village kitchen where he cooks, gossips, sings, fights loneliness and reenacts some of the wilder moments from his ground-breaking 1946 television show.  Join us for the cooking lesson of a lifetime, celbrating food, friends, and faith in oneself.

But before she can get comfortable atop the high school food chain, Veronica falls in love with the dangerously sexy new kid J.D. When Heather Chandler, the Almighty, kicks her out of the group, Vernoica decides to bite the bullet and kiss Heather's aerobicized butt... but J.D. has another plan for that bullet.

On a cross-country train ride, May, a bookish and sheltered young lady, meets Raleigh, a playful, recently discharged WWII flyer. The two connect over their pasts and the uncertainty of their futures. Will either of them find what they are looking for? “It is beautifully written…Every line is a heartbeat.” —Financial Times “…a gently charming little play, reminiscent of Thornton Wilder in its look at rustic Americans who are to be treasured for their simplicity and directness…” —Associated Press.

Last Train to Nibroc by Arlene Hutton will be performed at the Phoenix Theater.
