Sky is stunned to learn he is the sole beneficiary of his best friend Erin's estate.  But there's a catch--and it's a whopper: Sky must conquer his paralyzing anxiety and criss-cross the country in search of the perfect way to dispose of his friend's remains.  Oh, and Sky must take Erin's chatty parrot Bruce on the trip.  And contend with Erin's overbearing father who demands a traditional funeral!  At once hilarious and heart-breaking, this offbeat comedy celebrates a friendship that knows no bounds.

Arla Mae’s Booyah Wagon is a poignant musical comedy that will travel to communities in Minnesota in 2021. The project is a unique collaboration between local actor Sarah Agnew and James Beard Award-winning chef Ann Kim. AMBW is designed to illuminate the benefits of buying and eating fresh, local food. Ann Kim will develop a unique booyah recipe (a traditional, thick stew served at fundraisers and community events in the upper Midwest), that can be sampled at most performances. The show will feature a troupe of performers traveling in a food truck in search of the recipe that once made Arla Mae famous. The show is created, directed and performed by Sarah Agnew and features local performers Jim Lichtscheidl (Guthrie, Jungle, Ten Thousand Things), Elise Langer (Ten Thousand Things), Oogie Push (New Native Theater, Full Circle), and Eriq Nelson (“The Dude,” Minneapolis Children’s Hospital). The set design is by Nick Golfis (Guthrie Theater), with original music by Eric Jensen (the Moving Company).

The COVID-19 pandemic has made many of us examine the nature of love more thoroughly. Separated from (or trapped with?) our loved ones, many of us asked, “What is love?” and “Who/what do I love?” The kid from 4th grade? The person who left you? The grandmother you never knew? The cat who was your companion for seventeen years? Was your love fleeting or for as long as you both shall live? Was it forbidden, welcomed, almost grasped, or unrealized until now?

YOU WHO I ALWAYS/NEVER/ONCE LOVED will feature storytellers of all ages, ethnicities, genders, sexual identities -- people who've loved many times and those who have trouble loving at all -- who will create a multifaceted portrait of love gained, lost, and evaded. Their stories will move you, make you laugh, and make you ponder the vagaries of the human heart.

Because we have so many talented writer/performers in the Twin Cities, each week will feature a different group of eight superb storytellers.  Each story will run approximately 8-10 minutes, with live, original music in between. September 16-18: Josh Cragun, Destiny Davison, Eli Effinger-Weintraub, Larissa Netterlund, Ariel Pinkerton, Lacey Piotter, Jen Scott, and Tim Uren. September 23-25: Denzel Belin, Matthew Kessen, Les Kurkendaal-Barrett, Sam Landman, Anthony Neuman and Nicole Wilder, Ariel Pinkerton, and Rachel Teagle.

NO ADMISSION WITHOUT PROOF OF VACCINATION. MASKS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES!
