When Ren and his mother move from Chicago to a small farming town, he is prepared for the inevitable adjustment period at his new high school. But he’s not prepared for the rigorous local edicts, including a ban on dancing instituted by the local preacher, who is determined to exercise control over the town’s youth. When the reverend’s rebellious daughter sets her sights on Ren, her roughneck boyfriend tries to sabotage Ren’s reputation, with many of the locals eager to believe the worst about the new kid. The heartfelt story that emerges pins a father longing for the son he lost against a young man aching for the father who walked out on him.

To the rockin’ rhythm of its Oscar and Tony-nominated Top Forty score, augmented with dynamic new songs, Footloose celebrates the wisdom of listening to young people while guiding them with a warm heart and open mind.

Footloose first burst onto the silver screen in 1984 and proved to be one of the year’s most successful motion pictures. The soundtrack recording reached #1 on the Billboard charts, and went on to sell over 17 million copies worldwide, generating such Top Forty hits as its title song and “Let’s Hear It For The Boy” (both of which received Academy Award nominations), plus “Almost Paradise,” “Holding Out For A Hero,” and “I’m Free (Heaven Helps the Man).” With a screenplay and lyrics by Oscar winner Dean Pitchford, the story focused on young people, much like his previous, and wildly successful movie musical Fame.

“The musical version of the movie You’ve Got Mail.” In this scented case of mistaken identity and letter writing, two feuding perfume clerks have no idea that they are in love. The Mikos Lazlos play Parfuemerie, on which it is based, has inspired many adaptations, including the beloved film You’ve Got Mail starring Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks.

Set in a 1930s European perfumery, we meet shop clerks, Amalia and Georg, who, more often than not, don’t see eye to eye. After both respond to a “lonely hearts advertisement” in the newspaper, they now live for the love letters that they exchange, but the identity of their admirers remains unknown. Join Amalia and Georg to discover the identity of their true loves… and all the twists and turns along the way!

LUMBERJACKS IN LOVE | SEP 9–25, 2022

Book and Lyrics by Fred Alley, Music by James Kaplan
Directed by Scott Ford
Music Directed by Michelle Rademacher
Choreographed by John Hegge

It's 1912 and lumberjacks Minnesota Slim, Muskrat, Dirty Bob, Moonlight, and The Kid live in a state of manly bliss at Haywire Lumber Camp in northern Wisconsin, 200 miles from the nearest woman. Entertainment is found through rejoicing (or complaining) about their bachelor status, taking weekly baths, and practicing their social dancing. However, when Slim accidentally orders himself a mail-order bride named Rose, their simple, shanty lives are turned upside down. Rose's arrival pushes the camp further into chaos, and soon every single lumberjack has to come to terms with what they really want and who they truly are. LUMBERJACKS IN LOVE is a hilarious, heart-warming musical romp through the North Woods that reminds us sometimes the best thing to do is “axe.”

featuring Shelby Richardson and Jay Eisenberg.

How long do you think you could survive in remote wilderness? Two days? One year?

You sure do talk a big game.

While you consider if you've got what it takes, we invite you to sit back in your lawn chair and watch someone else give it their best shot. Get comfortable. It might not last long.

Welcome to the studio audience of BIGGAME, a live fever dream of a televised survivalist game show where one intrepid adventurer-turned-amateur filmmaker faces off with the elements. Armed with ten carefully selected items and what some might call "an absolutely unhinged level of expertise," our competitor still wonders: will a lifetime of preparation be enough? And with a life-changing sum of money on the line, will they come out on top, or get topped by nature itself?

Don't encourage them. They don't even know you're here. They're alone in this.

And so are you.

BIGGAME is a site-responsive, outdoor, multimedia show that, while immersive, does not include audience-performer interaction. BIGGAME includes strong language, crude humor, and unconvincingly depicted, fully clothed simulated sex. BIGGAME grapples with a variety of intense concepts, including extreme hunger, prolonged constipation, substance use, life, death, and loss. Violence is referenced, but not seen or heard onstage. BIGGAME is not recommended for audience members under 16. If you have additional questions about content, please email us.

This production of BIGGAME is sponsored by Iverson Law Office, P.L.C. and WAM's QFP (Queer Fairy Godparent).
