Calling all Minnesota performing artists and ensembles!

Accepting proposals for financial support to produce an event at the Ordway

The Knight Foundation Cultural Opportunity Fund provides Minnesota performing artists and ensembles the opportunity to receive financial support to produce an event in the Ordway’s Concert Hall.

How to apply

To apply, develop an idea for a venue-appropriate event and submit an application online. Full submission guidelines, FAQ, and application link can be found at https://ArtsPartnership.org/KnightFund

Applicants must be based in Minnesota to be eligible. All submissions will be reviewed for feasibility, and evaluated by a panel of judges for:

  • Clearly articulated outreach strategies
  • Organizational capacity to execute a successful event
  • Productions that help fulfill the organization’s mission and/or advance the artist’s career

More details

Venue-appropriate events may include, but are not limited to: concerts, film screenings, author readings, workshops, recordings, and/or lectures. Priority is given to proposals from emerging and mid-range performing arts organizations/ensembles, with an emphasis on cultural and artistic diversity.

Awarded funds subsidize rent and direct expenses incurred by the Ordway. Awardees will be notified in mid-March.
