Lakeshore Players Theatre is currently seeking part-time Box Office Associates / House Managers.

  • Position: Box Office Associate / House Manager
  • Reports to: Patron Services Coordinator, Managing Director
  • Job type: Part-time / Flexible: weekends, evenings, with occasional daytime shifts
  • Salary: $15 per hour
  • Deadline: Applications will be reviewed upon receipt and interviews conducted on a rolling basis until the positions are filled

Position Description

The Box Office Associate / House Manager provides exceptional service to patrons in alignment with Lakeshore Players’ mission and values. Responsibilities include processing single ticket, season ticket, and theatre education orders over the phone, via email, and in-person, as well as selling and reconciling concession sales. House management duties ensure the safety and comfort of patrons attending events.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Answer ticket office phone lines, emails, and assist patrons in-person, ensuring a high level of customer service
  • Sell concessions during performances
  • Serve as House Manager during performances, including welcoming patrons and making occasional speeches for emergency or informational purposes (training provided)
  • Assist minimally with lights and sound during events if needed (training provided)
  • Instruct, assist, and serve as the main contact for event volunteers
  • Process single ticket, season ticket, and theatre class/camp orders via phone, email, or in-person
  • Distribute will-call tickets and assist with day-of-event sales
  • Work closely with the Patron Services Coordinator on data entry, paperwork, and procedures for accurate record keeping and sales
  • Accurately process payments, including cash
  • Represent Lakeshore Players at special events, if available
  • Attend required training and meetings; perform additional tasks as assigned
  • Maintain a focus on the patron experience, even under pressure

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Flexible schedule: evenings and weekends are required
  • Able to pick up a minimum of 1-2 shifts per week
  • Demonstrates leadership skills and a desire to contribute to the organization’s growth
  • Knowledge of industry practices
  • Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry; capable of learning new systems
  • Experience with cash handling and cash registers
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Comfortable switching between tasks regularly
  • Punctual
