IMMEDIATE HIRE: Stage Manager for Save Hamlet! with Eden Prairie Players

Eden Prairie Players is seeking a Stage Manager for immediate hire their production of Save Hamlet! by Mark Harvey Levine, directed by Jake Sung-Guk Sullivan

Stage Manager Role

• The stipend for the position is $1,100.
• Collaborate with Director on managing the various design and interpersonal elements of a theater production
• Take down any blocking, intimacy, fight, or choreography notes
• Work with directors to create rehearsal schedules for the week and send them out to actors by Sunday night at the latest
• Create rehearsal reports after every rehearsal notifying the production team of any changes decided upon in rehearsal
• Attend and be an active participant in production meetings as scheduled by the Director (Jake) and/or the Theater and Performing Arts Coordinator (Kari)
• Ensure that emotional and physical safety is not being compromised at rehearsals or performances
• Attend every performance and call the show for the board ops 
• In collaboration with other production team members, ensure rehearsal spaces are setup and torn down properly

Production

Save Hamlet! is a hilarious parody of the Bard's greatest play, full of laughs, tongue in cheek humor, and physical comedy. When Horatio, Bernardo, and Marcellus are all women in disguise - and when they discover each other's secret identity, they realize they must team up and step in, or the whole thing will end in tragedy! Armed with snark, self-referential humor, and a load of fake swords, they team up to subvert the inevitable and maybe get folks to lighten up a little in the state of Denmark.

Rehearsals: 

-Rehearsals start the week of January 6^th 

-Rehearsals take place weekday evenings M-F between the hours of 6:30-9:30pm

-Rehearsals will be held in The City of Eden Prairie and The Eden Prairie Senior Center
