A Note from Becca: Although Underdog Theatre's show Baltimore is Burning closed on Sunday night, I was moved to pass on the show's message. Author Kory LaQuess Pullam's script does an absolutely remarkable job of laying out a continual conflict in our current nation: plenty of people talking, few people hearing. Yet, for the audience, it becomes painfully clear what both sides of this racially charged conflict are saying: I am a person; please help me.
Keep your eyes out for Underdog Theatre. If their next projects stick to their foundation of producing theater that brings people to new perspectives and new solutions, then theirs will definitely be work to go see.
