Presented by
Macalester College Theatre and Dance Department
A man. A Woman. An officer of the law. In Athol Fugard’s Statements After An Arrest Under the Immorality Act, set in apartheid South Africa, where relationships across the color barrier are a criminal offense, the Man and the Woman debate their love for an hour, only to be caught in the act and interrogated. The play is a compelling and deeply moving love story in which the lovers share their deepest longings for personal and emotional freedom.
The show is directed by Macalester alumnus James A. Williams ’77, an award-winning actor and director who has appeared on all major stages across the country and has led performance workshops internationally.
Seating is limited.
