The Assembly with Gretchen Seichrist
THE SHOW:
The Assembly is a monthly sketch show at Strike Theater. Each show features a guest artist from one of the Twin Cities many arts communities, and the sketches are inspired by a conversation with them.
THE GUEST:
Gretchen Seichrist is a Minneapolis based musician/songwriter/visual artist who uses raw, intense lyrics with altered forms of blues, folk, rock, pop and punk music. She is the founder of patches and gretchen and current project/alias, ThelonesomeKid. She has self-released eight musical albums with her most recent release in Spring 2017 titled “The Last Days Of Sugar.” Gretchen has been featured several times on MPR and recently performed on The Current/MPR radio station for their Summer Music Series.
“ 4 Stars! Gretchen Seichrist stuns w/‘Iamlonesomekid.’ Artist deserves to be heard far west of Mpls and far east of St. Paul.” -Jim DeRogatis, Host-Chicago’s, Sound Opinions Radio
“...a spellbinding vein of uniquely American music, a gritty folk pop touched by a stripped-down magic realism.” -Stereo Embers Magazine
