Local Music Scene Presents Jocelyn Walsh
810 W Lake Street
Minneapolis, MN
United States
Every month, a different musician is interviewed and then performs a selection of their original music. After, The Local Music Scene (a team of improv comedians) takes those lyrics and uses them as the basis of inspiration for improvised scenes! November guest: Jocelyn Walsh.
The Local Music Scene has trained and performed at various local improv theaters, including The Brave New Workshop, ComedySportz Twin Cities, HUGE Theater and Jesters.
Jocelyn Walsh is a singer/songwriter who has performed throughout Rochester, St. Cloud, and Twin Cities, and who recently returned to the Twin Cities after a few-year stint in Seattle, WA. Her songs range from story folk to bluesy musings on anxiety and mental illness to drunken ramblings turned satirical melodramas about loves lost. While Jocelyn’s presence in the Minneapolis music scene has been somewhat muted by her questionable decision to write a dissertation while working full-time in the schools, she is slowly making her way back into her favorite music scene in her favorite metro area.
