"Carnival of the Animals & Other Dances"

“Minnesota Ballet’s opens its 2019-20 season with a Fall Performance featuring in dance the delightful Ogden Nash poem celebrating creatures from ponderous elephant to manic kangaroo. Choreographed by Robert Gardner with animal costuming by Mary Plaster, the work is set to the Camille Saint-Saëns score. The performance also includes Allen Fields’ “Mendelssohn’s Piano Trio No. 1,” accompanied by a piano trio; Lila White’s premiering “Scenes from a Supper Club,” accompanied by the Twin Ports Wind Ensemble; and a pas de deux by Artistic Director Karl von Rabenau.
