Fantastic Mr. Fox

Mr. Fox lives with his wife and four little foxes. In order to feed his starving family, he starts to steal food every night from the cruel, brutish farmers named Boggis, Bunce, and Bean. Despite having limited resources, Mr. Fox is clever and resourceful as he is willing to work with other animals to devise and implement innovative “food heist” plans in order to help his family and friends. Mr Fox, is the leader of his group and is constantly outwitting the farmers. Even when faced with obstacles like the farmers’ traps and shop set-up outside their tunnels, the Fantastic Mr. Fox never gives up on trying to find a way out of any situation. His perseverance ultimately results in his success helping the ones he loves despite all odds being against him.  Roald Dahl’s classic story  explores the importance of family and friends as well as the power of intelligence in overcoming oppression.  It also reminds us to reflect on the never ending conflict between man and the natural world.
