On Halloween night, a group of trick-or-treaters must go on an epic adventure through time and space to save their friend from a mysterious force. Ray Bradbury’s timeless story of friendship, mortality, and wonder comes to life through the magic of live story theater, puppetry, and shadow. A rollicking trick and spectacular treat for young and old alike.

Dan Jones (Playwright / Puppet & Scenic Designer) is a Queens-based puppetry artist, writer, and multi-disciplinary theater maker who has worked with companies including the American Repertory Theatre, Center for Puppetry Arts, Everyman Theatre, Nick Jr, the NYU Experimental Theatre Wing, New Victory LabWorks, Playwrights Horizons, St. Ann’s Warehouse, Shakespeare Theatre Company, Off the Page, the Public Theater/Shakespeare in the Park, Asheville Creative Arts, Second City New York, Geva Theatre Center, Mabou Mines, and many more — including seven wild summers with Minneapolis’ popular Adventures in Cardboard program. Dan specializes in using wastestream materials to create immersive and big-hearted narrative spectacles, inviting audiences to see both everyday objects and the natural world with new eyes. 

Chava Rey Curland (Director) is a Twin Cities-based director and filmmaker. She has worked locally with the Children's Theater Company, In the Heart of the Beast Puppet and Mask Theater, Open Eye Figure Theater, Theater Latte Da, Park Square Theater, among others, and she is the Producing Artistic Director of See-Saw Theatre Lab.  She has worked on dozens of films as a Cinematographer, Director, or Gaffer - Grip, including locally made feature films Marmalade, Rescuing Christmas, and Silly Little Wounds, and the newly released Netflix sports series, Starting Five.

The Halloween Tree is suggested for audiences of all ages 8 and up. It contains sequences of peril, simulated lightning flashes, and moments of visual darkness.
